2007 RRHBA Members of the Year

The Roanoke Regional Home
Builders Association Inc. named Brent Fortenberry, president of Bench Mark Builders, Inc. (Roanoke), and Barry Wright, president of RP Publishing, Inc. (Roanoke) as 2007 RRHBA Members of the Year for their extraordinary contributions to and support of association activities.
Fortenberry served on the 2007 RRHBA executive committee and Board of Directors, several other committees and as chairman of the association’s first annual Parade of Homes. Wright served as a member of the 2007 RRHBA Associate Advisory Council, on three other committees and he spear-headed the ad sales for the Parade of Homes guide.
During the determination of a recipient for 2007, it became clear that there were two individuals who equally deserved to be named 2007 Member of the Year. Both men are creative, well-respected and dedicated. Their attention to detail and high quality of work are exceptional. They are clearly dedicated to the mission of the association, and they easily inspire others by leading by example.
Criteria for the RRHBA Member of the Year award include attendance at membership meetings and events, member recruitment and retention, committee work, industry leadership and participation on the state level with the Home Builders Association of Virginia. Special emphasis is placed on individuals who best exemplify the “spirit” of RRHBA – hard work, dedication, kindness, enthusiasm and “outside-the-box” thinking.
