What Is the RRHBA?

Mission Statement: To serve, support and represent the building industry.

Since 1955 the Roanoke Regional Home Builders Association (RRHBA) has been a constant in the building and remodeling world. If it has to do with building, remodeling or community planning, the RRHBA is at the head of the pack, there to play a positive, forward-thinking role.

As an active professional non-profit trade association with more than
470 member firms, the RRHBA is actively involved in its host communities at many levels:

With its membership. While working to promote business for its members and to serve as a clearinghouse of industry information, the RRHBA serves as a banner of professionalism for the industry and its members in the eyes of the public, community leaders and local government. Its goal is to create an environment of free enterprise where regulations are kept to a minimum and products and services are produced at optimum value.

In its host communities. While advancing the cause of being the respected voice of the residential and commercial building industry, the RRHBA also works to aid the cause of development and growth in the cities of Roanoke and Salem, the counties of Roanoke, Botetourt, Bedford, Craig, Floyd and Franklin and the town of Vinton.

As a governmental partner. The RRHBA serves as a resource and as an advocate in partnerships with local and state governments.

As a partner in community-building. As a strong team member in partnership with all local home builders associations, and as a leader in representing Southwest Virginia at the state level, RRHBA is an active colleague, not only with its sister organizations, but also with its member businesses in developing a strong and ready workforce for the building trades.

The RRHBA is first and foremost a team member in all of these contexts. Its calling is to represent the interests of not only its members – made up of residential and commercial builders, developers, remodelers, suppliers, subcontractors and related service providers – but also the interests of the communities that it is privileged to serve.

The RRHBA is affiliated with the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
